Deadra Hart, cantante de jazz, posee una voz cristalina
que incorpora un respiro vital a la música. Vino desde Nueva
York, como profesora residente de canto en la Universidad San Francisco
de Quito, para el 2005. El repertorio que presentó estuvo construido
alrededor de composiciones inéditas así como arreglos
de estándares de jazz. En escena la acompañaron el baterista
newyorkino Fred Kennedy, el pianista Raimon Rovira, el trompetista también
norteamericano Jay Byron, y Jeffry Eckels en bajo.
Deadra Hart is a jazz singer with a crystal clear voice
that breathes new life into music. Here in Ecuador for the Fall 2005
semester, Deadra is the Profesora de Canto in residence at the Universidad
de San Francisco Quito. It is the opportunity to see this great jazz
singer from New York City perform in one of Quito's top jazz clubs.
This concert featured her original material as well as great new arrangements
of standard jazz repertoire. Deadra was backed by New York City drummer
Fred Kennedy, USFQ Faculty Members Jeffry Eckels, Jay Byron and Raimon
Rovira and many surprise guests that graced the stage from both North
and South America. The Deadra's debut album "Wherever I Go"
